The Brazilian Buttock Lift, or fat transfer to the buttocks, is a form or buttock augmentation in which fat is removed from an area of excess, such as the abdomen or thighs, and then re-injected into the buttocks. This provides a rounder, fuller appearance to the buttocks for a more youthful, more shapely and sexy backside.
The Brazilian Buttock Lift has increased in popularity in recent years. Women often seek this procedure to get a curvier appeareance.
The Brazilian Buttock Lift involves the techniques of liposuction/liposculpture and fat transfer. Dr. Khalifeh performs this procedure an accredited surgery center. General or local anesthesia may be used. During the procedure, fat is gently removed from a donor area like the abdomen, back, love handles, hips or thighs. The fat cells are then processed and purified before being re-injected into the buttocks at various depths for a natural look and feel. The result is a more lifted and perky buttock appearance.
A surgical compression garment will be applied to the buttocks after surgery and will need to be worn for several weeks afterward. Surgical drains may also be applied to drain excess fluid and are typically removed after one week. Bruising and swelling may occur. You may also experience some discomfort which is generally mild and can be treated with oral medication. You will need to minimize any prolonged sitting during the fist week until the fat “takes” in its new position, and you will also need to sleep on your stomach. Most patients can return to work within one to two weeks, or sooner for work that does not involve full-time sitting. When performed by a skilled surgeon, the results of the Brazilian Buttock Lift can be long lasting. Some amount of fat will be resorbed by the body, but permanent transfer rates of up to 70% are possible.
