  • Silicone (Cohesive Gel) Implants
Silicone breast implants have gone through a series of changes since the FDA moratorium on silicone gel filled breast implants in 1992. The silicone gel implant was reintroduced back into the U.S. market in 2006 when the FDA did an extensive review of clinical trials and found silicone implants to be safe for women.
  • Saline Filed Implants
The decision to have breast augmentation is such a personal one. Women looking for a fuller profile may seek implant surgery because they want better body proportions. Women who have lost weight or have breastfed may want to return to the perky breasts that they used to have.

  • Tear Drop Shaped Implants
Breast implants can come in two basic shapes: round or teardrop, also called anatomical or contoured. Anatomical breast implants are shaped more like natural breasts. The implant has a top and bottom to it, and is elliptical rather than being symmetrical like the round implant.

  • Gummy Bear Implants
Gummy bear implants are the new generation of silicone implants that are composed of a very cohesive gel. This implant is softer, more pliant, prettier, and longer lasting than other silicone breast implants. Invented in the early 1990s, this implant has been used around the world for ten years.

  • Periareolar Incisions
Once a woman has decided to have breast augmentation surgery, her consultation with Dr. Khalifeh of Chevy Chase, Maryland, will enable her to decide on the type of surgery she prefers. She will need to make many choices, beginning with choosing the type of implant: saline implant, silicone implant or fat transfer.

  • Inframmary Fold Incisions
Breast augmentation surgery begins with an incision, and where that incision is going to be is discussed with Dr. M.R. Khalifeh during your initial consultation at either his Frederick, Maryland or Chevy Chase, Maryland location.

  • Tuba (Belly Button) Incision
The preferred incision site for breast augmentation surgery for most surgeons is the nipple (periareolar) and the breast fold (inframammary). Why? Because they are able to place the implant very close to the incision site which allows for more control.

  • Axillary Incisions
The axillary region is the armpit. An incision placed in the natural folds of the armpit is called a transaxillary incision; many patients believe that a transaxillary incision made during their breast augmentation surgery will be invisible.

  • Breast Enhancement With Fat Transfer
Breast enhancement surgery allows women the option of using their own body fat to increase breast size. This procedure is called a fat transfer and is done routinely in many cosmetic surgical procedures. Fat from one part of the body (inner thigh, lower abdomen ) may be transferred to add volume to another part of the body (breast, face).

  • Augmentation Mastopexy
A breast lift with the addition of implants is a combination procedure perfected by Dr. Marwan Khalifeh, an American Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Dr. Khalifeh, with offices in both Chevy Chase and Frederick, Maryland performs the augmentation mastopexy procedure to raise sagging breasts and increase cup size simultaneously.

  • Mommy Makeover
What new mother hasn't been shocked to see the changes that motherhood has imposed on her body? The stretch marks formed during pregnancy often look worse after delivery, a fatty abdomen appears out of nowhere and there is a significant change in the shape and size (and often altitude) of breasts.

  • Laser Liposuction
Laser liposuction, also referred to as laser lipolysis, is a minimally invasive, FDA-approved body contouring procedure which uses a laser to rapidly dissolve fat in order to improve the shape of the body.

  • Vaser Ultrasound Liposuction
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Marwan Khalifeh uses the Vaser® Ultrasound Liposuction System to trim stubborn areas of fat from the body and provide patients with a less invasive form of surgery. The Vaser® System allows Dr. Khalifeh to work with finesse in troublesome areas.

  • Tumescent Liposuction
Tumescent liposuction, a treatment that became available in the 1980s, is a popular less invasive liposuction technique. It is primarily used to sculpt and tone troublesome areas of the body.

  • Body Jet Liposuction
Body Jet® liposuction, also known as Water Jet® Liposuction (WAL), is a technique for fat removal and body sculpting. This liposuction technique uses a water-spray device to inject water into the body while simultaneously removing fat.

  • P.A.L. (Power Assisted Liposuction)
When traditional liposuction is performed, a small tube called a cannula is used to remove fat. Sometimes, it can be a challenge for surgeons to move the cannula effectively through fatty tissue.

  • Brazilian Buttock Transfer
The Brazilian Buttock Lift, or fat transfer to the buttocks, is a form or buttock augmentation in which fat is removed from an area of excess, such as the abdomen or thighs, and then re-injected into the buttocks.

  • Stem Cell Transfer To Face
As people age, deep lines and wrinkles begin to set in, often causing individuals to become displeased with their personal appearance.

  • Extended Abdominoplasty
Though there are many physical and emotional benefits to massive weight loss, the process can leave excess skin in the abdominal area. This is often disheartening to those who have taken the steps to lose weight and improve their health.

  • Combined With Body Contouring
The tummy tuck, technically known as abdominoplasty, is a popular plastic surgery procedure which is often combined with other procedures, such as the arm lift or thigh lift.

  • Abdominoplasty With Liposuction
Often, people considering a tummy tuck also desire liposuction to tone their figure and treat stubborn areas that will not slim down despite diet and exercise. Dr. Marwan Khalifeh often combines these procedures so the patient does not have to go through two surgeries.
